How Is Relationship Education Different Than Therapy?

Coaching is different than counseling or therapy, in that coaching concerns itself with what's happening now, learning new skills, and how to make better decisions that will change your future for the better. Coaching doesn't focus on events in the past. Coaching believes that you, the client, know what's best for you, and a coach is simply a guide along your journey. You decide what's right for you. Coaches do not prescribe medication.

Relationship coaches can teach skills such as better communication, conflict resolution styles, how to reconnect with each other, how to forgive, and help with creating a map and plan for improving intimacy and affection.
